Let’s Play is a community partnership led by Canada Dry Mott’s and its parent company
Dr Pepper Snapple Group to get kids and families active.
We believe that the key to healthy living is managing calories in and calories out. Our goal is to help families achieve that balance by providing the tools, places and inspiration to make physical activity a daily priority.
Random Acts of Play
Random Acts of Play is a program that helps facilitate play and healthy, active lifestyles for children all across Canada by donating sports of activity equipment to community groups and schools.
Beginning in April 2012, every month Canada Dry Mott’s will provide an equipment donation to an organization in need by partnering with Good Sports, a non-profit organization that provides equipment to ensure all kids have a chance to play.
Schools, community groups, and other organizations helping children maintain an active lifestyle are all eligible to apply.
Partnership with KaBOOM!
A significant Let's Play initiative through Dr Pepper Snapple Group is a $15 million, three-year commitment to KaBOOM!, a national non-profit that's saving play by ensuring there is a great place to play within walking distance of every child. Together, through Let's Play, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and KaBOOM! will build or fix up 2,000 playgrounds across North America by the end of 2013, benefiting an estimated five million children.
To help reach our goal, Let's Play grants will be offered via KaBOOM! These grants will help communities build new playgrounds, update existing playgrounds or keep playgrounds open longer. We've also created LetsPlay.com, to help foster innovation, commitment and problem solving for those interested in increasing physical activity. We encourage you to participate in conversations about the importance of play and explore opportunities to volunteer within your community.
